Requirements:

- 7+ years of experience in data management, information governance, or compliance

- Deep understanding of data lifecycle management, data archiving, and retention best practices

- Proficient in designing and implementing data archival and retention solutions using technologies like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Archive Storage

- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, FINRA) and industry-specific compliance requirements

- Expertise in data classification, sensitivity labeling, and retention policy configuration

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize data archival and retention processes

- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

- Develop and implement data archival and retention strategies aligned with business requirements and regulatory compliance

- Evaluate and select appropriate data archival and retention technologies, tools, and solutions

- Establish data retention policies, schedules, and procedures for different data types and sources

- Ensure seamless integration of archival and retention processes with existing data management workflows

- Monitor and optimize data archival and retention processes to maintain data integrity and accessibility

- Collaborate with data owners, IT, and compliance teams to define and enforce data retention rules
