We are at present having a senior position as LEAD CORPORATE FINANCE & ACCOUNTS (DGM) for a reputed Indian EPC company for THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE in KOLKATA location Reports To (Functionally) : HOD - Corporate Finance & Accounts Qualifications : Qualified Chartered Accountant. Purpose: The main scope of the role is to oversee and manage the financial accounting and auditing in adherence to standard reporting standards and accounting principles and should be updated on the regulatory landscape and regulatory norms. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities: - Responsible for review, developing and executing the accounting and control strategies in line with organisation's growth plans and strategies. - Responsible for internal financial controls to drive accuracy in financial reporting as per national and international accounting rules and standards. - Responsible for review and timely consolidation and closure of books of accounts including overseas subsidiaries. - Responsible for monitoring compliance with set accounting and reporting standards across the different books of accounts. - Coordinate with statutory and regulatory auditors for audit of financial statements and ensure compliance of audit observations. - Ensure compliance with LODR and other compliance requirements. - Monitor the latest national and international regulatory policies related to accounting and auditing and incorporate the new compliance needs on timely and accurate basis and drive Corporate Governance norms. - Leading the team by example and orientated towards problem solving in a collaborative framework. Knowledge: - Comprehensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). - Knowledge of Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Familiarity with Accounting Standards of European Union. Skills & Behaviour: - The incumbent needs to be a strong leader with an ability to personally counsel employees at all levels below him. - He must have good commercial acumen, be a persuasive communicator, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be capable of thinking strategically. - He should have an excellent man-management skills and building relationships, especially with external (auditors and other statutory authorities) and internal stakeholders.
