Commercial & Contracts Lead

Educational Qualifications : MECHANICAL ENGINEER + RICS QUALIFICATIONS / GCC EXPOSURE IS A MUST - OIL & GAS INDUSTRY

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Contract Law, Quantity Surveying or similar built environment subject

- Master's degree (preferred)

Professional Certifications:

- Certifications in project management, contract administration, negotiation, pricing etc. (preferred)

- Association/Membership of a Chartered Institution - ICE/ CIOB/ RICS / MRICS

Skills:

- A proven work experience in the Commercial & Contracts department

- Strong writing and record-keeping abilities. Strong IT skills. Strong communication, planning & organizing skills

Experience:

- 3+ years of specific experience

- 12+ years of overall professional experience

Language:

- English (fluent)

Purpose of the job: Responsible for all day to day to bidding and tendering activities of the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

1. Responsible for receiving project tenders, reviewing conditions & specifications manuals, generating TQs and TCs

2. Responsible for floating project-specific or general subcontract RFQs, responding to queries regarding the scope of work from contractors.

3. Responsible to prepare all contract drafts based on input from the concerned Division/Department

4. Responsible for carrying out the pre-qualification process for service suppliers and contractors before contracting with them, and preparing and update lists of qualified suppliers and contractors based on the technical standards

5. Responsible for all individual and specific departmental productivity targets, financial objectives, KPIs, and attainment.
