City Sales Lead - Hyperlocal start-up
Role Objective :
This role sits within the Merchant Monetisation team. The Sales Lead will provide operational leadership to the local sales team and own the overall business targets to deliver sales revenue growth and organizational objectives. The Sales Lead will directly own the city sales goals for all categories including Food, Grocery, Medicine, Pet Supplies and more.
Major Areas of Accountability :
- Responsible for leading the creation and execution of sales strategy along with Category Managers for each category to position the sales organization to meet or exceed assigned targets MoM.
- Responsible for contribution of the sales efforts towards company objective of monetization from these categories. Develops sales objectives / targets to ensure consistent and accurate sales forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Leads, manages and coaches the team of Sales Managers to achieve sales and revenue results by actively communicating and driving/ motivating teams to action.
- Assist in key negotiation of major deals with customers and resellers to drive sales growth within the region.
- Provides leadership and guidance to sales managers on effective performance management, employee development and resolution of employee relations issues.
Skills & Qualifications :
- 7+ years relevant sales track record in owning a regional sales target across multiple asset classes.
- Proven ability to manage within a matrix environment, collaborate across multiple departments / organizations and influence at all levels.
- Outstanding executive level leadership ability demonstrated by directing high performing teams to exceed their goals in complex selling environments.
