JOB TITLE : Category Marketing Lead

LOCATION : Bangalore

FUNCTION : Category Marketing

JOB PURPOSE:

- Develop and ensure implementation of a Category marketing strategy in line with Category Objectives. The person will lead Merchandizing,CRM and customer marketing functions as part of category marketing. The Category Marketing Head will inspire the organization to think differently and innovate in areas related to engagement and activation with sellers on supply side and retailers/shoppers and consumers on demand side. S/he will influence key stakeholders, constructively challenge the current ways of doing marketing, and successfully forge the new path forward for the category. This role is the key owner and enabler of the marketing strategy and has the sponsorship and support of the senior leadership team.The person also needs to provide direction and leadership to the marketing team members.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide end to end marketing solutions to key partner brands for category to achieve business objectives with design and execution of interventions related to retailer, shopper, consumer and internal frontline sales teams

- Work with Category, demand, and other cross functional teams in developing marketing interventions to help achieve business objectives like increasing order value, frequency of purchase, assortment increase etc via suitable initiatives

- Generate and analyze consumer, shopper, retailer and competition insights related to category/brand and with actionable recommendations

- Lead ideation and execution of Omnichannel initiatives to create strong customer propositions for company in line with category ambitions

- Educate the organization on emerging retail trends (visibility, engagement etc), opportunities, competitive threats, and new technologies that can be leveraged for category growth

- Lead Category Merchandizing ensuring catalog quality, search and discovery for best in class user experience

- Build and drive CRM strategy for category for retention, up sell and cross sell to buyers

- Collaborate with Central marketing, CRM, tech and other teams to develop a coherent and consistent communication across in-app, digital & offline channel for multiple category initiatives

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: MBA in Marketing from premier B-Schools, batch 2012-15

- WORK EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT INDUSTRY:

- Ideal candidate is someone who brings the best of conventional offline distribution, shopper and consumer learnings to a tech enabled scale platform usage.

- Min 3-5 years of channel sales/Trade marketing experience

- Min 3-5 years of brand marketing experience with good understanding of campaign management, consumer research, digital marketing

- Relevant experience inFMCG/FMCD industry preferred
