Lead Category Management: Textiles
About The Job :
- The position is required to own the P&L for textiles, and perform a range of activities, namely, developing and maintaining a healthy new product pipeline, overseeing category development and design, onboarding new products, developing new markets, leading market research, advertising development, influencing pricing strategies, driving, and monitoring sales performance.
- The person will own the P&L for category and designing offerings.

Preferred qualifications :
- Master's degree in management or related technical field (preferably from institute like NIFT)
- 8+ years of experience in procurement space in textiles e-commerce (preferably B2B)
- Experience with business development and P&L ownership
- Experienced professional in revenue management and costing
- Experience in managing large teams & project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities :
- Product Vertical strategy
a. Using consumer research, internal and external understanding, data, creating relevant sub-categories to help build deeper understanding of the consumers, their behaviors, needs across different stages of the journey.
b. Scan market trends, competitors and introduce new product lines on platform basis topline potential, sales, and ability to differentiate
c. Placement of product categories basis country/regional geographies, category/ product entry/exit strategy
d. Developing demand growth strategy, increasing customer lifecycle value/ retention, defining pricing strategy at product/ geo level.
- Business Analysis, Forecasting and Planning
a. Target Setup for Annual Sales and Net Margin.
b. P&L management - ownership of sourcing, value chain, developing cash flow models and business proposals to meet financial goals.
c. Ensure top line and bottom-line achievements with YOY business growth.
d. To achieve profitability - Sales and margin tracking - cut across products, countries, and clients
e. GMV and Revenue forecasting across products and countries
f. Competition Monitoring - Analyze platforms, large store chains and benchmark.
g. Ops coordination, driving sales and client level tracking with category insight shared, with regular reviews with clients and internal stakeholders
h. Prepare business report MIS, analyses sales by Category, by Supplier, by Market with Sales & Margin Update
- Category Management
a. Competition analysis (pricing/promotions/launches) & study of industry trends to provide key inputs for conceptualization, Communication of the products in the category.
b. Supply strategy (defining cluster strategy, entry/exit, cluster development)
c. Design the GTM and scale up for products in new geographies.
d. Work closely, across functions (Back-end Supply Chain, Delivery Ops, Merchandising, Planning team, Brand & Offline & Digital Marketing Team) for Planning, Supply Chain and Procurement.
e. Negotiate margins and cost control, draw out cost
