Job Description :
By leading capacity building support to the company's portfolio organizations, you will play a critical role. Providing the right type of support is core to our mission of creating impact at scale. This role is envisioned as a unique opportunity for a proven leader with a passion for building relationships, driving organizational growth and accelerating social change. This will be done by guiding senior social entrepreneurs across development sectors and leading a team of committed associates and analysts to deliver a variety of capacity support offerings to portfolio organizations.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Establishing ambitious, yet realistic capacity building mechanisms to address identified organizational needs for non-profit organizations
- Set up project delivery teams and guide / manage project delivery
- Reviewing performance scorecards of organizations operations and institutional building; and driving accountability measures to address any challenges
- Influence organization leaders to think differently about their organizations and implement institutional change - through individual interactions, facilitating workshops or speaking at forums
- Deepening existing donor relationships and fostering new relationships in India and abroad to build awareness, contribute skills and leverage funding for partner organizations and the sector
- Coaching and mentoring for a team (analyst / associate / team leads), including performance appraisals and developing learning and development plans
- Represent the organization, our work and need for capacity building in external platforms
- Setting annual targets and budget for the capacity building team
- Driving a systematic and disciplined approach to work in the team and provides clarity to team on deliverables with respect to different projects and supports the team in consistent achievement of targets; and also contributes to overall team talent management, L&D, process implementation and role modelling of behaviours
- Contribute to organizational initiatives and process improvement
Desired Skills and Experience :
We are looking for someone with :
- 10+ years work experience preferably in management consulting, financial services, social sector advisory, portfolio management or entrepreneurial backgrounds
- Strong business and commercial acumen, problem-solving, analytical and project management skills
- Outstanding writing and oral communication
- Judgement and decision making abilities, including forward thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Influencing skills with internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
