Lead Banking Analyst - Equity Research

- Candidate should have an extensive experience in Equity research Sell Side specially Banking sector

- Experience of working with Broking firms would be advantageous

- Tracking banks and NBFCs in the BFSI sector for markets specially domestic.

- Strong emphasis on open and extensive communication between leaders with involvement in idea generation and rating/investment thesis discussions

- Financial analysis, financial modelling, valuation, report writing etc.

- Forecasting the financials of stocks under coverage

- Generating investment ideas, writing reports and recommending investments to clients

- Perform industry analysis, identify growth sectors and companies with strong business model

- Prepare investment committee materials for potential investments that include market research and financial analysis

- Study business models of companies and make quick or long company profiles

- Candidates who are currently doing equity research will be considered a perfect fit for this role

- Person should have experience of gathering financial data from on-line and other data sources such as Bloomberg and Reuters

- Build historical models and develop forecasts

- Develop company's operating metrics in conjunction with their relevance in different sectors / companies

- Ratio analysis, Earnings, Revenue and Cash -flow Projections and Guidance) Risk Analysis, Growth analysis, Entry Barriers, Technological Factors and Business Outlook to establish sound Equity Valuations

- Conduct extensive company valuations using approaches such as DCF, DDM, trading and transaction multiples, and EVA

- Person should have experience in writing extensive reports including company profiles, earning notes, quarterly updates, initiating coverage reports, sector reports, -Newsletters technology primers, flash notes, and theme-based reports

- Listen to and summarize investment conference calls and conduct management interviews

- Develop road-show presentations

- Manage ad hoc research requests according to clients- requirements

- Well versed with building full dynamic models with forecasting and valuation (DCF, multiple valuations, SOTP, DDM, etc.)

- Ability to update models quickly during earnings, and conduct associated tasks

- Decent financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting such as company descriptions)

- Candidates should be independently covering some companies in the sector and have client contacts.

- Candidates who have received recognition from clients through explicit votes or reference will be preferred (please mention if any)

- Work on financial statements of companies, build and maintain earnings and valuation models

- Track & report news/events/macro developments/market data on coverage names, Maintaining industry/ company databases

Qualification : MBA (Finance / CA) Experience (Specific to any organization) :

Equity research experience of 7- 12 Years

Functional Skills Required : Report writing - Computer skills (MS Excel, PPT)

Total Experience : 5+ years equity, Banking Sector, financial forecasting, sector research, projections, report writing, Equity Research.
