Lead Analyst/Principal Analyst Macro (Agency MBS)

This role involves collaborating closely with portfolio managers and analysts on the Macro Fixed Income team, providing high-quality, in-depth support for the team's global proprietary trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct quantitative modeling, research, and analysis of Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), focusing on Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae passthroughs and CMOs.

- Perform quantitative and fundamental research, collateral analysis, and prepayment modeling.

- Engage in sector research, theme-based trade and collateral analysis, and relative value assessment.

- Collaborate with the trading desk and technology teams to implement solutions for tracking sectors and individual securities.

- Identify market opportunities, contribute trade ideas, and develop tools for managing exposures.

Basic Qualifications:

- A post-graduation degree with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in the Mortgage-Backed Securities sector.

- Ability to collaborate with technology teams to build dashboards and reports.

- Experience analyzing large data sets and deriving insights using machine learning and classical modeling.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to interact effectively with the trading desk and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficiency in quantitative modeling and research related to all Agency MBS securities, including TBA, Specified Pools, and CMOs.
