Lead Analyst - Data Science - IT

Essential Functions:

1. Lead Data Science Projects:

- Design, implement, and validate advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to address complex client problems

- Lead exploratory data analysis to derive insights from large, complex datasets and guide business decisions

- Present complex data findings to stakeholders with clarity and actionable insights

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and monitoring of models

- Establish and maintain best practices for model development, testing, and deployment

- Ensure alignment with project plans and timelines, guiding junior analysts

2. Project and Client Management:

- Conduct feasibility analysis and manage ad hoc requests with a focus on delivering impactful results.

- Solve highly unstructured problems and build scalable solutions that meet performance and business objectives.

- Provide guidance on project scope, methodologies, and execution strategies.

3. Mentorship and Capability Building

- Mentor junior analysts. Experience:

- 3-5+ years of relevant consulting or IT-industry experience working on data science projects

- 1-2 years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models using R, Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases and/ OR

- 1-2 years of experience with advanced analytics concepts (e.g., text mining, recommender systems, predictive modeling) and/OR

1-2 Years of experience with big data tools/platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS, and cloudbased data science environments and/ OR

- 1-2 Years of experience in managing project execution, process excellence, and governance

- Experience in managing/mentoring 2-3 team members while providing necessary mentorship/ guidance for the team's growth

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Key Traits:

- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for nontechnical audiences.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
