One of our key client are having requirements for TMT lawyers / Television /Media / television.

Location - Bangalore

Client - Top tier 1 law firm

Job Profile:

- Ensures all the deliverables are made accurately and timely. Managing client's expectations in terms of deliverables and responding appropriately to requests.

- Being a trusted advisor for clients, this involves advisory role for the benefit of the client.

- Engages with the client and manages the matter on a day-to-day basis. Anticipates issues and concerns, escalates these appropriately.

- Is actively involved in the negotiation dealing with the parties or clients.

- Proactively manages the matter and thinks for the client.

- Involved with other teams in regards to any matters of due diligence.

- Translates legal expertise into practical, applicable and commercial advice for clients. Has a methodical and logical approach to problem solving.

- Handles and runs small matters or a part of a medium/large matter effectively, with appropriate supervision.

- Effectively utilizes the firm's knowledge base to solve client issues.

- Demonstrates and shares technical skills, knowledge and experience in his/her own areas of expertise. Has an eye for the technical detail but also sees the impact on the whole matter.

- People management skills :

i. Managing workload between the team,

ii. reviews others- work and provides constructive and timely feedback

- Raises internally any billing issues as brought to attention by the client, with full information and in a timely manner.

Experience :

- Expertise in TMT practice area includes :

1) Telecom practice includes knowledge of the technologies, advisory on cross border acquisitions and regulatory and transnational issues.

2) Information Technology : advising on structuring investments, outsourcing transactions, internet startups, established digital map making companies, e-commerce players, virtual payment systems, innovative voice and data application companies, social media companies from across the globe, new media, internet media players and a whole host of other technology companies.

3) Data Protection: advising on data protection compliance, data encryption and decryption, drafting and review of privacy policies, regulatory issues relating to the collection, processing, disclosure and cross border movement of data.

Qualification:

- Graduate in LL.B. from National Law Schools in India.

- Must be enrolled in Bar Council of India.

Requisite Skills:

- Has strong interpersonal skills, is attentive and demonstrates empathy for other by listening carefully and responding with considered questions and comments.

- Demonstrates clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, focusing on the key points in a structured manner.

- Should be a good negotiator and problem-solver.

- Be proactive.
