The Marketing Manager Online India role is a cross-functional position, offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for an energetic, pro-active professional who is keen to advance their career in a dynamic, international environment while working for one of the largest providers of higher education.
Reporting to the Director Business Development, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of marketing strategies including digital for Laureate Partner universities in India and will work closely with the Laureate India Hub and Laureate Online Education BV teams, respectively - including enrolment (sales), global marketing, and B2B. The role entails execution of marketing plans for key target groups, driving the launch of local marketing activities in priority cities, and developing the right marketing activities for specific B2C and B2B target audiences. The Marketing Manager will identify targeted marketing channels that will support growth and brand awareness in India, as well as manage execution via these marketing channels.
The Marketing Manager, will oversee the daily execution of marketing strategies to drive and improve the quality of acquisition across the Indian market and work closely with the Global Marketing teams.
This person should be pro-active, self-starting and high energy. They should have a passion for creating target segments for products / categories that haven't been previously exposed to the market and a strong drive to creatively explore marketing to these target segments. The person should be determined and committed to working through the barriers in the market to successfully position the product / category. This individual must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to focus on short-term objectives and long term growth opportunities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute annual marketing strategy, based on the set strategic direction and overseeing the daily execution of marketing strategies to drive acquisition and retention - Conceive and develop innovative marketing activities that need to drive demand for a new category
- Plan and execute an effective events strategy for direct lead generation and for corporate lead generation
- Responsible for activation across all channels for B2C and B2B
- Ensure timely creation and presence of effective collateral for corporate sales
- Serve as local marketing expert; helping to identify marketing trends, new technologies, evolving best practices, competitor activity, and testing opportunities that help drive the business
- Monitor and analyze key business metrics, and take appropriate action based upon findings
Job Requirements
- 8-10+ years of marketing experience having developed and successfully executed marketing plans targeted at specific B2B and B2B customers
- Master's degree in marketing, business or other relevant field
- Passion for creatively exploring the right channels to reach identified target groups and explore new target groups and create the right message to resonate with these groups
- Experience in working on new categories and positioning them successfully for the Indian market is a plus
- Must have the tenacity to stay focused on achieving goals against all odds
- Prior experience in both online B2B and B2C marketing and events is a plus
- Proficiency in digital trends and best practices, deep understanding of the current digital landscape as well as what the future may hold for digital marketing programs is a plus
- Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects across multiple brands simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Highly experienced in effectively communicating with all levels and business partners; communicates effectively with different stakeholders within a matrix structure
- Adept at articulating conclusions from data, raising issues with insight into implications
- Anticipates, Identifies and acts on both short and long-term goals in achieving results. Actively seeks to stretch performance targets
