Position Summary:
To help realize its aggressive growth plans geographically as well as across industry verticals, the company is looking for a seasoned and driven business development leader (BD Lead). The BD Lead is a key member of the senior management team and responsible for developing and executing BD strategy. He/She provides leadership to the BD & Sales organization to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy of the company, while contributing to the overall strategic direction setting.
Responsibilities:
- As part of the senior management team, contribute actively to the company's strategic direction setting
- Develop BD strategy aligned to the company's overall business strategy as well as execution plan for specific initiatives with clear goals and milestones
- Develop and lead the BD and Sales organisation to achieve the agreed goals; including developing and implementing structure and processes to meet the needs of a fast changing environment
- Responsible for overall revenue achievement and partner program development and management
Required experience and skills:
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to inspire and lead the BD & Sales team from the front
- Analytical thinking and data driven approach to strategy
- Measurement focused tactical execution
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in the evolving start-up environment

- Strong self-motivation and leadership qualities
- Comfortable in a multi-disciplinary and cross cultural environment

Technical and Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree; preferably MBA
- Understanding of the data management, big data and analytics space
Work Experience:
Minimum of 10 years previous experience in Business Development, Marketing and / or Sales
- Experience in enterprise software or solutions selling
- Experience in start-up or intrapreneurial environment
- Proven track record in building up and leading a sales or BD team
- Proven track record in international Business Development
- Exposure to business intelligence, analytics or data management (inlcuding big data) would be an added advantage
