Head of Research (US REITs)

Position: Head of Research (US listed Real Estate Investment Trusts)

Lapis is looking to build an inhouse research team focussed on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) listed on US stock exchanges. There are over 200 listed REITs in the US with an aggregate market cap of over US 1 trillion spanning sectors across offices, apartments, warehousing, data centres, storage, retail, etc. The team would have 4-8 members. This position is for the Head of Research who will lead the team.

Lapis India Capital: Lapis India Capital is an independent, privately held investment advisor with interests in real estate (advising 3 real estate funds which raised over $ 2 billion in AUM) and a sector agnostic Portfolio Management Services business for listed equities (building a high-quality India Compounders portfolio).

Education Qualification: BA/BS/BE/BTech/CA/CFA

Experience: Ideal candidate would have 10-15 years of equity research experience of which at least 3-5 years should be covering US/Global listed REITs.

Location: Lapis team is based in Mumbai. The REIT research team will work 2-3 days out of physical office and the balance 2-3 days WFA. We remain flexible, in terms of location, and will decide the location of the REIT research team based on the preference of the team leader i.e. this position (Head of Research), availability of talent and costs involved.
