Roles and Responsibilities : Specialist- Electronics is responsible for management and execution of business overseeing sales and margin delivery for Electronics categories driving category growth & profitability focusing on customer engagement through shopper-focused solutions across range, space management, pricing & promotions and build industry leading and profitable categories in Home & Living department Authority : This position is accountable for : - Developing buying and merchandising strategy for the Electronics division with a view towards growing sales year on year in a profitable manner. - Ensuring alignment of the category strategy with the organizational business strategy and ensure close coordination with operations and all other functions. - Adherence to annual budget and financial performance for the categories across Hypermarkets and ownership of the P&L of the Categories - Implementing Business Strategies and plans for the categories in Hypermarket Retail stores across the country and other Omni channels - Drive the Electronics categories under Private Label and increase SKUs and shares year on year. - Deciding on Price Benchmarking of the categories, perform competition benchmarking and implement retail Best Practices and commercial processes. - Engaging and handling key stakeholders in the category across the regulatory spectrum, promoters and competition - Constantly work towards incorporating SPAR and other global / industry best practices into the ways of working across the categories. Responsibility : This position is primarily responsible for : - Responsible for driving the categories to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, margin delivery and achievement of business goals. - Overseeing and monitoring all operational responsibilities of the Categories and support category sales via Omni channels including Online Business - Knowledge of sourcing from across the country & internationally - Measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the categories across the country. - Working in collaboration with the Operations Head, Zonal Business heads & support functions to implement category strategy - Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, SOP's and human resources designed to accommodate objectives of the organization. - Responsible for creating seamlessness across the categories including reporting across all metrics to the management - Build and lead a culture of excellence across the categories in all processes.
