Job Role:
Landmark group is one of the largest and fastest growing retail organization in Middle East, Africa, Asia and Indian Subcontinent. The group operates over 2,000+ outlets across 55 own and franchise brands in the area of Retail, hospitality and malls. The role is to define, develop & support end to end products/analytical solutions from data for improving business decisions of various retail functions (Ex. Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, etc.) in all business units of Landmark Group (LMG). The recruit will be directly working with the Analytics team at our on shore location and also with key stakeholders of retail functions in each business unit to understand their business problems and help deliver data driven decision making.
- Develop sophisticated & innovative analytical solutions (end to end products) that generate actionable insights by utilizing diverse information
- Analyze data to evaluate existing decisions framework and apply analytical techniques to discover meaningful patterns
- Manage end to end project delivery with project teams and ensure quality, timeliness and accuracy of the output
- Work with on-shore Analytics team and also with key business stakeholders of retail functions of LMG business units to understand business problems and translate them into analytical problems
- Provide high-end consulting to functional teams to help them sharpen their business strategy
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and improve team productivity through training/documentation of best practices
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging methodologies to continuously improve skillset
- You'll empower and guide your colleagues to work effectively and efficiently with data
- You'll focus on creating a data-informed culture within the organization
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Mandatory - 5+ years of experience in Data Science algorithms with good exposure to SAS, SQL, R, Python, Java, Scala etc.
- You must be a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or any other technical field
- Expertise in standard analytical techniques such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Cluster analysis, Market Basket analysis, CART, CHAID, Linear Optimization etc.
- Expertise in advanced Machine Learning algorithms such as Random Forest, SVM, XGBoost, NLP, Computer Vision and deep learning algorithms (CNN, RNN) etc.
- You must be above average in Data Visualization techniques and be able to concisely represent an analysis to business stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in high pressure environment
- Strong Drive and passion to deliver business impact through retail analytics
- You must have experience working with broad cross-functional partners, especially with product development and engineering, along with communicating results of the analysis to product and leadership teams, helping to influence strategy
- Proven experience in delivering analytical solutions within mid to large size project teams
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate data insights into meaningful business recommendations
