Project Manager - Business Intelligence (COE)
Job Overview :
This person is responsible for the overall design of the Project Management (PM), which describes, through a set of information requirements, principles and models, as well as the current state, future state and provides guidance to achieve effective delivery compliance. The purpose of the PM is to facilitate creation of project charter and plan activities as per schedule and monitor progress.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities - Responsible for implementing an appropriate project management/development process.
- Initiate Project Organization Structure & Authorization.
- Plan and Defining the Scope for Estimating, Contracting, Budgeting, and Scheduling.
- Ensure Cost and time estimating activities.
- Facilitate creating and managing the project team.
- Champion efforts to improve project performance.
- Ability to identify and manage risk and issues.
- Oversee Activity Planning and Sequencing.
- Undertake approval /feedback/closure as per defined process.
- Ability to communicate within and beyond the project team, with regards to Data Issues, Data Granularity, Data Availability, Frequency of Data Refresh etc.
- Report project progress to Sponsor and Stakeholders involved.
- Delivers BI Applications (Qlikview, QlikSense, Power BI, Oracle BI) with backend technologies like Netezza, Informatica, Oracle DB, MS SQL, SSRS etc
Primary Work Arrangements:- This role will lead and manage a team of the system & business analyst, developer, software tester, deployment analyst while leveraging subject matter experts from any needed area.
- This role will collaborate with Delivery Assurance, Business Relationship Manager, Solution Architect, Project teams and IT staff, as needed, to fulfill the responsibilities described above.
- Implement a standardized QC process with help of Delivery Assurance Team for all BI Application (Qlikview, Qliksense, Power BI, Oracle BI etc).
- Develop members of the BI CoE team as technical and business SMEs of the BI Application (Qlikview, Qliksense, Power BI, Oracle BI etc) they support. Create a process for cross-training across the team to accommodate coverage.
Education and Training:- This role requires a bachelor's degree in any stream, PMP (Certified Project Management Professional) or a related sizeable & equivalent project management related experience. Having MBA degree is added advantage.
Experience: - Minimum of five - Seven years of experience in Project Management Role.
- Hands-on experience implementing end to end BI Projects in the retail industry with Qlikview, QlikSense, Power BI, Oracle BI preferred.

- Retail Business and Technology domain (Qlikview, QlikSense, Power BI, Oracle BI, Netezza, Informatica, SQL DB), data/content and process understanding.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse Concept, Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflex Schema), ETL, ELT
- Understanding of Project Management frameworks and information models.
