Job Description
Landmark Group is looking for a COE Head to lead - Information Management and Business Intelligence - function. This position supports Landmark Retail's businesses in the Middle East region, and responsible for leading and developing innovative solutions in Information Management, BI, Big Data, Cloud, Social, IoT etc. This position reports to the Head of Business Programs.
The role requires an individual with -
- Excellent communication - strong verbal, written and presentation - skills
- Good retail business knowledge and experience
- Experience in working with senior management and business users
- Strong negotiation and consensus building abilities
- Experience in implementing new technologies and innovative solutions in retail domain in the areas of Information Management and Business Intelligence
- Very good knowledge of loyalty, analytics, business intelligence, and data warehousing solutions
- Exposure to statistical analysis and big data technologies such as Hadoop
- Ability to narrate compelling stories and use cases using data and visualization
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment and driven by a desire to innovate.
Preferred qualifications include -
- Prior experience in similar roles.
- Proficiency in technical and architecture of IM solutions
- Experience in managing large programs & projects
- Experience in management reporting, Data warehousing, Analytics, and loyalty domains
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, statistics or similar fields
- 12-15 years of overall experience with relevant experiences in Business Intelligence, Loyalty etc.
The key responsibilities include -
- Accountable for delivery of programs/projects in a focus area (i.e., Information Management, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Loyalty domains)
- Maintain budgetary responsibility for the functions
- Set vision, goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results
- Lead and grow Information Management & Analytics capabilities
- Provide best practices, research, training, and leadership for a focus area
- Manage, influence and develop a team of self-motivated professionals to achieve well-communicated expectations
- Disseminate knowledge in the focus area within the organization
- Provide resources to the project/program teams
- Collaborate with business to develop innovative and data-driven initiatives, roadmaps and projects
- Manage and collaborate with product and other IT partners/vendors to execute the projects
- Work with internal teams to lead key analytic programs, cost estimations, system/data integration planning, information security etc.
- Ensure compliance of both solution and project to business and IT policies, governance mechanisms and project and software development lifecycles
- Manage, supervise the staff including hiring, planning, scheduling, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and related supervisory activities
