Job Description:
1. Responsible for the process creation of the Design Team consisting of 3 verticals - textile design, accessories design, and visual communication
2. Planning for team growth and working on talent scouting and recruitment of the team as per necessity in consultation with the upper management
3. Working towards keeping the team motivated by setting up quarterly targets for team members and helping them to achieve them.
4. Coordinating with upper management for strategizing the growth of the company from your vertical's perspective
5. Spearheading the creation of a design bank with the support of designers from all the three verticals
6. Handling the creation of a material handbook for accessories based on the research of working with fusions of different materials and the insights drawn from them
7. Ideating and creating own Mood-boards & Trends to develop new design collections and visual presentations for trade shows and Lal10.
8. Should be well-versed with CAD illustrations
9. Coordinating the entire sampling process including the communications with the vendor finalized by the sourcing team and subsequently preparing costing sheets for the entire collection
10. Meeting with buyers for new orders, creating new decks based on the research of prospective clients
11.Understanding and prior working experience for handloom fabrics & trims with suppliers
12.Good knowledge of handloom clusters in India
13.Good communication and negotiation skills in English and Hindi. Having fluency in one additional regional language will be an added plus.
Location: Noida, NCR
Salary: INR 9,00,000 - INR 12,00,000 per annum + INR 8,00,000 worth ESOPs on the current company valuation
Preferred Experience: 5-10 years in export houses/design houses/craft sector companies in Textile/Apparel category
Preferred Qualifications: Masters/Bachelors Degree in Textile Design from NIFT/ NID/any other recognized design college
