About the Team:

Our advanced predictive and generative AI team operates from Bangalore and Mumbai.

Composed of skilled data scientists and ML engineers with proven expertise, we focus on deploying cutting-edge AI technologies to optimize and grow L&T Finance's lending businesses.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior AI Scientist to design, develop, and implement machine learning and generative AI solutions.

The role offers flexibility for candidates to specialize in one domain while contributing to a range of impactful projects across machine learning and generative AI.

This role requires 100% individual contribution.

Location:

Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deploy end-to-end machine learning and generative AI workflows using GCP Vertex AI and other platforms.

- Retrieve and preprocess data from BigQuery and various sources for model development.

- Build models using Python and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, and CatBoost.

- Implement diverse ML algorithms, including regression, classification, forecasting, NLP, and unsupervised learning.

- Design computer vision solutions, including preprocessing image and video data.

- Fine-tune and deploy large language models (LLMs) and foundation models for specific tasks.

- Leverage advanced AI technologies like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and function calling.

- Develop evaluation metrics to measure ML/LLM performance.

- Apply CI/CD and MLOps best practices for deploying and automating ML pipelines.

- Stay abreast of advancements in ML, GenAI, and AI/ML-related technologies.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Education: BS/BTech or MS/MTech from a Tier 1 institution.

Experience: 4-9 years in Machine Learning and/or Generative AI (open to exceptional candidates with varying experience).

- Strong proficiency in Python.

- Expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, and Deep Learning.

- Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost/CatBoost.

- Hands-on experience with GCP Vertex AI, BigQuery, MLOps tools, Docker, and Flask.

- Proficiency in handling structured and unstructured data for feature engineering.

Desired Skills:

- Experience in BFSI or B2C applications.

- Knowledge of data explainability and bias mitigation in regulated industries.

- Familiarity with reinforcement learning and LLM frameworks like Langchain and LlamaIndex.

- Expertise in computer vision libraries like OpenCV.

- Strong statistical and probability background.

Additional Certifications (Preferred):

- Google Certified Professional Machine Learning Engineer.

- Advanced Certificate in Generative AI.

- Certifications in Machine Learning/Data Science or related fields.
