Project Description :


- The Greater Chennai Police (GCP) is gearing up to create a safe city and keep its citizens safe by implementing new and innovative strategies including advanced technology. Identifying, referring and supporting victims require multidisciplinary and coordinated community response. The learning centre shall provide resources and guidance to police personnel and community stakeholders in Chennai city and its surroundings, for women and children's safety.

- Through awareness, safety education and prevention programs, GCP commits to enhancing the safety and well-being of all women and children in Chennai City. The unique, first of its kind, digital learning platform, will be the key for attitudinal transformation, for the police and the larger community- working professionals, students, government officers, home makers, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). The Center will offer courses with the following learning modalities:

- Self-paced courses will be delivered online and participants can access content at their own pace from anywhere and anytime.

- Moderated courses emulate classroom environments and take this to an online setting with various facilities such as discussion forums, interactive webinars, webcasts, real time chatting and chat bots.

- Face-to-face courses will be through expert facilitators and participants in a physical

The centre will be located within a custom-built multistoried building which will include professional office space, cyber lab, command control centre, access to an expansive network of experts and more.

Job Description:

1. Conduct face-to-face and online training sessions using various instructional techniques to engage learners, facilitate discussions, and deliver content effectively.

2. Provide support and guidance to learners to help them achieve their learning objectives.

3. Manage and troubleshoot technical issues related to online training delivery, including providing technical support to learners.

4. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling training sessions, managing registrations, maintaining attendance records, and generating reports on training effectiveness or learner performance.

5. Create a conducive learning environment for face-to-face training by managing the classroom, handling logistics, and ensuring that training materials are available and organised. Manage learner behaviour, address conflicts, and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

6. Collaborate with other trainers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to develop and deliver effective training programs.

7. Work with learners to understand their needs and provide customised training solutions.

8. Continuously update your knowledge and skills related to training methodologies, instructional design, and technology to improve the quality of training programs and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

9. Ability to work alongside top government bureaucrats and build good rapport with them.

10. Follow standard operating procedures, security protocols, and emergency procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of learners.

11. Responsible for managing and troubleshooting technical issues related to online training delivery, including providing technical support to learners.


12. Manage end-to-end operations and administration of the new learning centre building.


13. Ability to generate reports on training effectiveness or learner performance.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.

2. Strong understanding of learning methodology and instructional design principles.

3. Knowledge of standard operating procedures and the ability to follow project protocols and rules.

4. Ability to analyse data and use data-driven methods to measure training effectiveness.

Soft Skills:

1. Excellent communication skills, preferably in Tamil, and facilitation skills.

2. Strong organisational and administrative skills.

3. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work effectively in a team.

4. Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry trends.
