Kronos is looking to hire an Architect in software quality engineering to be part of world class engineering organization in Noida. The candidate must be proficient in technology, testing domain, test automation and other facets of software quality. The successful candidate must have a passion for quality engineering profession, previous experience in influencing product quality in software product organizations and proven ability to scale up the capability of quality engineering organization.

The responsibility includes :

- Develop and maintain domain, product and process knowledge to directly influence the product quality, software engineering productivity and development process maturity

- Collaborate with engineering architects, product managers and engineering teams in implementing best practices in software testing and influencing 'building in' testability during all phases of the SDLC

- Design, review and approve test strategy for product features

- Design, develop and review test automation tools, framework and infrastructure

- Contribute to the implementation of automation principles across QA team, bring technology innovation in quality engineering and support the adoption of new technologies and tools

- Drive test effectiveness and efficiencies throughout the team

- Drive research of industry trends and apply best practices in quality engineering practices

- Define, improve and automate metrics collection and reporting

- Provide consulting services on techniques to achieve of quality goals through education, training, coaching and collaboration

- Exhibit a high degree of skill in matrix management and influence teams in other geography on implementing new initiatives and roll out new tools and practices at all the locations

- Keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future direction for quality engineering as well as apply latest techniques and industry information as appropriate.

- Mentoring and influencing QA teams across organization towards long term goals on capability building

Qualifications :

- Bachelors in Computer Science/ Engineering

- 14+ years of software engineering experience in product organization distributed across globe

- 3+ years of hands on development experience desired

- Excellent on testing concepts, tools and process including expertise in various types of testing

- Experience with API, GUI, Install automation tools and scripting languages

- Demonstrated experience designing scalable and maintainable automated testing solutions for distributed enterprise environments

- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technology, tools and process

- Strong understanding web technologies and hands on programming skills in Java

- Experience in DBMS, SQL, stored procedures, and awareness of schema.

- Expertise in working with web applications in an agile environment

- Experience delivering cloud or SaaS based offerings

- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated collaborative and mentoring skills
