Team Overview

The position in discussion is with the UK Corporate Tax Reporting team at KPMG Global Services (KGS). This role is an integral part of the firm's strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability globally.

- We are recruiting for the Manager position in the UK Corporate Tax Reporting team with subject matter expertise in UK corporate tax reporting and accounting.

Working as Manager in this team, your responsibilities will include:

- Take complete accountability of the group and statutory tax reporting and accounting services under a variety of GAAPs to a wide range of clients from large listed companies as well as the more complex mid-market, inbound and owner-managed businesses.

- Perform the role of reviewer/ finalizer on simple and medium complex activities and preparation of complex and super complex technical tax reporting engagements.

- If desired, the role offers the opportunity to get involved in tax advisory and tax audit engagements to help build out your expertise and experience.

- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team based between India and the UK and acting as the engagement manager, liaising and maintaining good relationships with the clients assigned.

- Take 100% responsibility for ensuring the tax disclosures are prepared to a high standard, on a timely basis and finalised and provided to the client within agreed deadlines.

- Oversee the work of junior colleagues, providing trainings and technical guidance as part of the overall review process whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables.

- Takes end-to-end responsibility and accountability for the work assigned. Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work

- Provide support to the Tax Management and Leadership both in India and the UK with the implementation of various business strategies.

- Constantly identify opportunities for providing additional services to clients within your portfolio.

- Contribute effectively to continuous improvement of the process and drive the team towards excellence.

Job Requirements :

Mandatory Skills :

- Must have a minimum of 7-8 years of work experience in tax accounting and reporting and possess strong knowledge of tax accounting in order to lead the engagements.

- Working experience in UK tax is always an added advantage.

- Must be performing a similar role in the current organisation (i.e. stakeholder/ client facing reviewer role).

- Must build the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience and ability to remain calm when under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Must build co-operative relationships and must champion an environment in which everyone's opinion is valued.

- Must demonstrate curiosity and open mindedness to new ideas, approaches and perspectives

- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from a reputable institution.

- Possession of a relevant UK qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, ATT, or CTA) would be highly desirable. (Please note that the business may require a successful applicant to start to pursue a UK tax qualification upon joining, if not already obtained).
