Role Overview:

- KPMG India is seeking an experienced Sports Advisory and Strategy Lead to drive business development, strategy, and execution of consulting engagements in the sports sector.

- This leadership role will focus on fostering industry partnerships, managing large-scale sports projects, and delivering innovative solutions to government bodies, federations, leagues, and private investors.

- The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in sports governance, event management, infrastructure development, commercialization, and sponsorship initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Client Engagement:

- Identify and drive new business opportunities in the sports sector, expanding KPMG's market presence and advisory services.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, sports federations, leagues, and private investors to foster long-term collaborations.

- Represent KPMG at industry events, conferences, and sports summits, positioning the firm as a thought leader in the sports advisory space.

Consulting & Project Management:

- Spearhead sports-sector consulting projects, ensuring high-quality, timely, and strategic delivery.

- Develop and execute sports management, governance, infrastructure development, and commercialization strategies for clients.

- Oversee the creation of sponsorship and monetization models for large-scale sporting events.

Innovation & Thought Leadership:

- Leverage data analytics, emerging technologies, and strategic insights to enhance consulting offerings in the sports sector.

- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence for sports and E-sports to drive talent development and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 15+ years of experience in the sports industry, with a proven track record of managing international, national, or state-level sporting events.

- In-depth knowledge of sports business models, governance structures, and industry trends.

- Prior experience working with government bodies, public sector units, or private entities on sports projects.

- Hands-on experience with league-based event formats (e.g., IPL, Pro Kabaddi) and engagement with major event organizers.

- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
