KPMG - Associate Consultant - Tactical Modeling

- KGS- Deal Advisory Group is a team of over 415 professionals based in Gurgaon.

- KGS DA has been providing solutions to KPMG member firms globally. Leveraging insights and applying best practices, the team helps create customized approaches to M&A transactions. The team's capabilities include Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Strategy, Modeling (Financial and Non-Financial), Accounting Advisory Services, Deal Advisory Research and Benchmarking.

Roles and responsibilities - 

We are recruiting for an Associate Consultant with Modelling Hub. Working as an Associate Consultant in this team, your responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for implementing tactical solutions using technologies such as VBA, SQL, R, and Python for clients spread across various industries and geographies.

- Conceptualization of complex projects to build analytical monitors, dashboards, tools and presentations based on MS Excel, VBA, MS Access Qliksense, QlikView, etc providing high-end business insight to our clients

- Development of Business Planning & operational models and tools

- Perform detailed reviews of Excel models under supervision, arrive at preliminary conclusions and prepares a report of findings in a standardized format (client-deliverable standard)

- Review and comment on revised models received from clients to verify whether review comments have been acted upon

- Stay informed of current business, economic and regulatory developments relevant to our client

Essential skills required - 

Education / professional qualifications

MBA / PGDBM / MTECH Prior Experience :

1-2 years working experience of Business intelligence, Solution designing & implementation and Commercial analytics.

Project and Team management exposure - 

- Credible record of operating as an independent contributor and also working as part of a team during larger projects

Technical skills:

- Good Knowledge of Visual Basic for Application specifically in MS Excel & MS Access.

- Good Knowledge of SQL (SQL Server), Alteryx, SSIS.

- Knowledge of Python, R, Qliksense, Qlik-View will be a big plus.

Behavioral / team skills - 

- Basic understanding of financial statements and statistics.

- Strong business acumen. Ability to understand business problems quickly and implement the solution through technology.

- Excellent programming skills with understanding on programming best practices.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, MS Access and SQL Server.

- A commercial outlook and a good understanding of the general business and economic environment; and

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to build effective networks internally and externally

- Ability to learn new technologies and implement them on live projects with minimal supervision
