Roles and responsibilities :

- We are recruiting for an Associate Consultant in the Business Modelling team. Working as an Associate Consultant in this team, your responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for the analysis of financials, generating and analyzing of research information, preparation of company profiles and proposal supporting documents

- Proficiency with relative valuations and market multiples

- Perform company and industry research

- Good working knowledge of Intrinsic valuations (creating and reviewing DCF models)

- Perform detailed reviews of Excel financial models under supervision, arrive at preliminary conclusions and prepares a report of findings in a standardized format (client-deliverable standard)

- Carry out testing of models as per KPMG quality control procedures

- Review and comment on revised models received from clients to verify whether review comments have been acted upon

- Develop advanced skills in Excel and use model auditing tools and other KPMG proprietary tools

- Amend models developed by KPMG staff or by third parties

- Carry out analysis of the outputs of models

- Develop models (incl. integrated P&L, Cashflow and Balance sheet models) from scratch

- Stay informed of current business, economic and regulatory developments relevant to our client

Essential skills required

Education / professional qualifications

MBA / PGDBM / CFA

Prior Experience:

- 6 months -2.5 years working experience of Financial Analysis, Valuation & Pitch support (buy side, sell side), Business Modelling/Financial Modelling

- Project and Team management exposure

- Credible record of operating as an independent contributor and also working as part of a team during larger projects

Technical skills:

- Knowledge of Visual Basic

- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQ

- Behavioral / team skills

- A good working knowledge of accounting, financial statements, and financial analysis;

- Experience in building/reviewing/updating Financial Models

- Understanding of integration of Financial Statements in Excel

- Good understanding of corporate finance principles, corporate transactions, valuation techniques

- Experience with database queries, Capital IQ, Merger Market, Thomson Research, Factiva, Bloomberg, etc.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint;

- A commercial outlook and a good understanding of the general business and economic environment; and

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to build effective networks internally and externally
