KGS infrastructure hub consists of 30 professionals acting as an interface between our Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and KPMG Global Services. These professionals specialize into Financial & Economic Modelling, Financial Due Diligence & Transaction Services, Research, Business development & Proposal Support etc. We are recruiting for an Associate consultant / Consultant role in the Infrastructure modelling domain.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Infrastructure model builds: The individual will be responsible for planning, designing and developing infrastructure financial models from scratch, in coordination with the onshore team/client
- Amend models developed by KPMG staff or by third parties;
- Infrastructure model reviews: Review/test in-house or client financial models to verify their accuracy and robustness.
- Ensure QA of outputs to the client while adequately undertaking project management, client management and team management. Co-ordinate with onsite engagement teams to ensure high quality, on-time delivery
- Proactively set-up and lead meetings / phone calls with the stakeholders for obtaining clarifications, resolving issues, communicating progress and post-delivery de-brief and feedback
- Carry out testing of models as per KPMG quality control procedures
The ideal candidate would:
- Be skilled in financial modelling and financial analysis
- Have prepared infrastructure models from scratch and/or have significant experience into model audits/reviews
- Have knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project based financing
- Have experience of PPP/PFI transactions or exposure of working on one or more infrastructure sector/sub sectors (preferred but not mandatory)
- Have an ability to interpret and present outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/client
- Good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements
- Financial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods (NPV and IRR)
- Strong problem solving skills; Knowledge of advanced functions in MS Excel

Desired education / professional qualifications MBA / PGDBM / CFA/CA
Desired prior experience (not pre requisite) 2-6 years relevant experience into one or more areas: Financial Modelling, PPP/PFI transaction, debt syndication, deal advisory and having exposure in infrastructure sector (roads, airports, ports, power/renewables, road, social infrastructure, cities etc.)
