The Role:

Position Title: Assistant Manager

Business Unit: Research, Analytics, and Knowledge (RAK)

What are we looking for?

Overall Experience:

- A minimum of 5-7 years of work experience at a leading professional services firm (e.g. international consulting firm, Big 4, leading research house)

- Extensive experience in conducting research

- Experience of handling multiple stakeholders and managing teams

Education:

- MBA/Master’s degree from a Tier 1/Tier 2 institute

What will you be expected to do?

Key Responsibilities:

- Conceptualising and delivering high quality research products

- Work independently on the wide spectrum of complex and challenging research/consulting assignments focused across the globe - data sets, company reports, industry/segment reports, etc.

- Ensure highest quality and delivery on time for all the projects

- Directly engage with clients and requestors, interpret their requirements, scope and estimate projects and manage the communication flow throughout the project lifecycle, in coordination with the research team lead

- Manage analysts, senior analysts in the team

- Multitask on project deliveries, business development support (scoping, effort estimation, etc.)

- Performance evaluation training of team members

- Support the team lead with reporting requirements

Team management:

- Lead a team of 1-2 researchers on a project basis

- Take full ownership of quality/ regular quality control of all deliverables

- Task allocation and bandwidth utilization

What skills will you be expected to have:

- Ability to synthesize and critically analyze large quantities of qualitative and quantitative data quickly and draw meaningful insights

- Experience in preparing contextualized reports, briefs, thought leaderships, market sizing, competitive assessments and analysis

- End-to-end project delivery - client interaction, information collection, deliverable preparation, quality check and delivery

- Highly articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills (especially PowerPoint)

- Confidence to form and express independent opinion on relevant areas/developments

- Flexibility and willingness to work in a highly demanding and results oriented team environment where priorities can change frequently

- High consciousness towards attention to detail; drive and commitment towards delivering high quality service to the KPMG network.
