Advisory Management - (Internal audit & Risk management)

Years of Work Experience: 4 - 15 years
Education: CA / ICWA / CS / B.E / B.Tech or Masters in Commerce / Science / Business Administration
Responsibilities:
- Identify deficiencies and inadequacies in process and documentation
- Identifying risks impacting the Advisory function and implementing policies and procedures required to manage those risks
- Ensuring that functional quality assurance guidelines and other quality management materials are up to date
- Acting as the point of contact and counsel for all partners and professional staff in the function towards quality & compliance parameters
- Assisting in Client and Engagement Acceptance approvals
- Participating in Quality training activities
- Take a significant role in sharing knowledge and supporting the development of team members
- To ensure that the risk and other policies are being adhered to
- Conducting and co-ordinating quality and compliance reviews of projects
- Query resolution across the board
- Ability to discuss and communicate ideas and policies to senior management
- Standardization and ongoing monitoring of templates, in co-ordination with other management functions
- Meet stringent quality standards of review and meticulous planning and execution of the tasks assigned
- Regular interaction with senior in-house personnel for ensuring timely reviews & approvals
- Lead Teams and ensure that team members are motivated to perform consistently at high levels of quality and delivery
- Remain current on developments in the Risk & Quality fraternity
- Conduct research, read thought leadership and knowledge repositories, align and learn from peers in business on a regular basis to keep pace with changing client expectations and risks involved
- Work in a dynamic business environment and willing to adapt to different industries on a continuous basis
- Participate & lead various firm/function initiatives/programs
- Plan out work for oneself and reporting team members where relevant
- Performance development of identified team members
- Ideate quality & risk process improvements
The individual:
- Strong understanding of risk & quality processes of service oriented or consulting business model
- Possess good understanding of business processes in a professional service organisation or controlling environment
- Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills, issue identification/prioritization/ resolution and report writing skills.
- Understand, discuss and negotiate engagement related documents and contracts between the Central Risk team and the Client
- Understanding of control rationalization, optimization, effectiveness and efficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exemplary co-ordination skills and general management capabilities
- High level of organizing, documenting, record keeping and publishing skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage

- Preferably leading a team
- Ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough conditions which may demand periodical extended working hours
Qualification and Experience:
- Expert knowledge of MS office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word) ERP etc
- Project management certification / experience will be an advantage
- Experience in technical/internal/statutory/regulatory audit
- Knowledge of KPMG IT systems for internal management will be an added advantage.
