Strategy team works closely with the Bank and its subsidiaries (Group) to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives including special internal projects, business planning process, M&A, divestitures, equity investments, and other strategic transactions
- Throughout the tenure of the role, the team member will gain exposure to senior leaders and strategic priorities across the Group helping develop an acumen in corporate strategy
- Given the relatively small team size, the team member will be expected to assume significant responsibilities and independently lead small projects, or modules of major projects - from shaping to successful implementation
Job Role :
- Collaborating and coordinating with internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a range of business issues
- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations
- Performing and synthesizing comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
- Participating in and leading certain aspects of transaction execution including project management, due diligence and valuation.
- Work closely with business teams, internal functional experts (legal, tax, accounting etc.) and outside advisors to support execution
- Independently developing financial model for merger and acquisition opportunities.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, develop pro forma financial models, valuation analysis and synergy models in support of potential transactions
- Preparing detailed presentations for internal projects, M&A or investment opportunities including board submissions
- Communication and interaction with senior internal and external executives
Job requirements :
- CA or MBA with about 5 - 8 yrs of experience
- Outstanding record of academic achievement with excellent communication skills
- CA rank holders and / or MBA from premier institutes are encouraged to evaluate this opportunity
- Experience in M&A advisory/ due diligence in financial services sector would be an advantage
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to carry out sophisticated financial modelling
- Advanced proficiency in excel and power point is must
- Ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
- Broad financial acumen including a strong foundation in corporate finance principles (comprehensive understanding of valuations principles)
- Strong work ethic, ability to proactively manage multiple high priority projects and work effectively in team
- Temperament to work in cross-functional teams and ability to interact and co-ordinate with other businesses, teams and individuals for project execution
