Business Description :
- Candidate shall be a part of Credit Leadership Team in the capacity of National Credit Manager (NCM) for Relationship Banking Group (RBG) and will be based in Mumbai.
- RBG Business under Commercial Banking at Kotak Mahindra Bank caters to all the working capital requirements of Commercial Vehicles / Construction Equipment (Infrastructure) / Dealer Finance segments for CV, Auto, Tractor and Two Wheelers and warehousing finance.
Role & Responsibilities :
- To lead, manage, nurture overall Credit Team thereby keeping the team motivated and engaged. Foster collaborative work culture.
- To monitor and manage credit portfolio and other risks on a proactive basis by having an in-depth knowledge on individual credit-takers. Engage in discussions with the business to modify account strategy / credit rating etc. as warranted.
- Manage and ensure timely renewal of accounts and enhancement of portfolio.
- To align decision making with business requirements without compromising on quality of decision making or compromising on laid down policies including regulatory policies by engaging in regular discussions with the business teams.
- Ensure regulatory, compliance and governance across locations.
- Need to proactively analyze data on the portfolio and the industry to arrive at actionable outcomes. Visualizing the market developments for and suggest for policy changes.
- Result oriented with a positive outlook. Adaptable to changing business requirements.
- Review and monitor on monthly basis the portfolio performance & portfolio quality on Macro and Micro level. Able to own portfolio analysis, timely escalation to higher authority for any critical observation in portfolio behavior.
- Identifying Early Warning Signals (EWS), Constant monitoring of Early delinquent (ED) / Infant delinquencies.
- Keep close watch on Turnaround time for self and the team and ensure speed with accuracy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of credit and benchmark the best practices in industry to create differentiation by enhancing current systems and processes.
- Manage projects with cross - functional digital, business solution & IT teams to develop scalable reporting/decision support tools.
- To provide sound, independent (unsolicited) credit advice, recommendations and quality feedback on credit proposals.
- Handling all types of working capital facilities (Fund base and Non-fund based limit). Credit /appraisal including financial analysis to understand the solvency, liquidity position and repayment capacity of the entity.
- As per Approval Authorizations, presenting the proposal to various sanctioning forums and get it sanctioned from approving authority satisfying all their queries.
- Meeting Customer and making Site visits at factory/office/residence of the client, viewing the working capacities of the business, inventory and working environment of the business.
- To interact with approving authority and provide them with required information for better decision making and engaging in regular discussions to give them an independent view of the credit / economic developments.
Requirement :
- Preferably CA, MBA or CFA with 15-20 years of experience and leading senior credit team.
- Good leadership skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Good understanding of all the working capital products.
- Frequent travel across geographies and Locations.
- Strong organizational awareness and the ability to work effectively at multiple levels within the organization.
