Strategy team works closely with the Bank and its subsidiaries (Group) to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives including M&A, divestitures, equity investments, special internal projects, business planning process, and other strategic transactions Throughout the tenure of the role, the team member will work with senior leaders in the bank and gain exposure to strategic priorities across the Group helping develop an acumen in M&A/investment transactions as well as corporate strategy - Given the relatively small team size, the team member will be expected to assume significant responsibilities and independently lead the individual initiative including creating presentation or financial models

Job Role:

- Independently developing financial model for merger and acquisition or investment opportunities. Perform detailed financial analysis, develop pro forma financial models, valuation analysis and synergy models in support of potential transactions

- Participating in and leading transaction execution. Work closely with business teams, internal functional experts (legal, tax, accounting etc) and various due diligence advisors

- Preparing detailed presentations for internal projects, M&A or investment opportunities for discussion at the board level

- Communication and interaction with senior internal and external executives

- Collaborating and coordinating with internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a range of business issues

- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations

- Performing and synthesizing comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research

Job requirements:

- CA or MBA (Tier1) with about 3 - 6 yrs of experience

- Outstanding track record of academic achievement with excellent communication skills

- CA rank holders and / or MBA from premier institutes

- Experience in (a) transactions including M&A/equity investments, or (b) consulting in financial services sector, would be an advantage

- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to carry out sophisticated financial modelling

- Advanced proficiency in excel and PowerPoint

- Ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations

- Broad financial acumen including a strong foundation in corporate finance principles including valuations principles

- Strong work ethic, ability to proactively manage multiple high priority projects and work effectively in team

- Temperament to work in cross-functional teams and ability to interact and co-ordinate with other businesses, teams and individuals for execution
