Job Description of what you- ll be doing :

- This senior Data Solutions Architect position will drive innovation, profitability, revenue, and business growth opportunities by applying advanced data skills with modern data platform architecture design bprinciples to support metrics, analytics, and self-service business intelligence across the enterprise.

- This role will require leadership for projects with a strong focus on business knowledge coupled with a deep understanding of data organization, data lake/data warehouse design, ER data modelling, metadata, data lineage, data classification and taxonomy, table design, data security, semantic layer view design, data linkage designs supporting a unified data model to be used across the organization for Analytics, Operational reporting, Executive dashboards, scorecards, Regulatory reporting, and data insights.

- This position is integral in supporting Data Warehouse projects that at the core drive data insights and analytics, marketing effectiveness, channel optimization, improved customer experience, and metrics used to measure compliance and improve Operational efficiency.

- You will work on a cross functional team of Data Integration, BI, Analytics and UI developers, business clients, software designers, and data engineers to play a key role in requirements, design, and in developing and delivering the next generation enterprise data platform solutions required by the business for insights on new product offerings and services, Data lake / Data Warehouse and big data integration, and self-service metrics and business intelligence reporting.

Job Specifics of what you will be responsible for:

- Gaining a deep understanding of insurance business domain data and how it is used for achieving business outcome via KPIs, metrics and analytics.

- Leading the effort for shaping the enterprise data platform that fulfils the data needs of business.

- Leading efforts developing metric designs and data architecture for developers, and end user teams to follow.

- Lead data quality, master data management and reference data management initiatives.

- Ensuring integrity of backend designs and reporting data stores.

- Initiating data design and reviews of high-level design requirements.

- ER data modelling and logical datastores designs.

- Metadata and data taxonomy management.

- Implementation/designs for data security classification and protection.

- Building strong working relationship and develop deep partnership with the business.

- Leading large portfolio of data and reporting projects and deliver innovative technical solutions to solve problems and improve productivity and business outcomes.

- Serving in a SME role and leading the design and development of the Unified Data Model enhancements to ensure optimal self-service user experiences.

- Working collaboratively with clients, developers, and QA analytics to design and implement solutions in production.

- Being a subject matter expert on the enterprise data model and a mentor to junior team members.

- Leading and driving an analytics data architecture culture through technical innovation by actively researching and benchmarking new tools, industry best practices, new theories, techniques, and technologies.

You will need to have:

- Bachelor's degree and at least 14 or more years of work experience.

- 8 or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or Information Systems with 14 or more years of work experience.

- Prior work experience in Life Insurance industry.

- 8 or more years of relevant work experience in data lake / data warehouse environments designing backend ETL and database design solutions supporting metrics, analytics, reporting, and insights.

- 8 or more years of designing/developing analytics BI systems, metrics, and KPI's.

- Experience in leading data architecture and design projects and delivering from end to end.

- Data Architect with Business Analysis skills.

- Expert Hadoop and RDBMS development skills and working knowledge of complex data ingestion and integration patterns.

- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Lakes architectures and implementations (8 or more years of design and implementation experience with big data architectures).

- Strong understanding and implementation experience of Data Quality and Metadata Management solutions.

- Strong understanding of corporate data security roles and data classification (onshore, offshore, off-premise).

- Skills to assess and analyse existing data landscape to ensure optimal design transformation.

- Motivation to lead efforts, communicate effectively, and bring projects to closure on time with positive results.

- An ability to simultaneously manage and lead project deliverables across multiple swim lanes.

- 8 or more years of experience working with and designing Federated database technology solutions.

- Deep technical expertise in RDBMS and ETL tools.

- Expertise in data management and data analysis in relational database and in big data Hadoop environments.

- Exposure to Big data implementations, and Elastic Search technologies.

- Exposure to unstructured data and graph database use cases or projects.

- Advance understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.

- Advance understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).

- Advance understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.

- Excellent organizational and planning skills.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Expert critical thinking skills.

- Ability to think outside the box and explore, develop create design solutions.
