Job Responsibilities:
- Provide business analysis and process (re)design expertise in one or more functional areas within the enterprise specifically in the analysis, and (re)design, of SAP functions and processes.
- Configure/Customize processes/functionality within R/3 Sales & Distribution (SD) module inclusive of Available to Promise (ATP) checking Rules.
- Acting as the effective liaison between IT functions and business partners by communicating requirements, business processes and issues.
- Communicate SAP capabilities/possibilities within SD module.
- Formulate and define application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve business problems.
- Responsible for system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, and deployment. Provides post-implementation process and application support; acts as work stream leader from start to finish. Write or review functional specifications.
- Creates detailed project plans and project estimates. Manages functional projects through the project lifecycle. May manage process area, from design through post-implementation.
- Provides ongoing responsibility for system failure prevention, system problem calls and user inquiries.
This includes regular system maintenance and support which will require evening, weekend and on-call support
- Leads constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes to ensure global consistency.
- Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
- Has knowledge of peer companies and of the business strategy; translates long-term objectives into practical solutions; networks and benchmarks to gain insights into the potential use of new tools, processes and techniques.
- Lead small sub-projects or regularly coach other project personnel to ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and best practices.
- Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
- Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot complex business and technical problems.
- Maintaining consistency of the Commercial – Order Management area across all business units globally.
- Developing and retaining relevant SAP skills – including participating in user groups, training, conferences and professional associations.
- Development of standards and procedures.
- Prepare business specifications for reports.
- Cross train other associates where and when appropriate.
- Support SAP systems upgrades and life cycle management.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems with an emphasis in a specific functional area, such as finance, human resources, manufacturing, operations, logistics, or sales and marketing or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required .
- 6+ years of SAP SD experience with an emphasis on design, configuration and troubleshooting required.
Required:
- Configuration and testing of SD, inclusive of ATP (Available To Promise) checking rules required.
- SAP configuration skills in SD Module.
- SAP functional skills in SD Module.
- Solid understanding of SAP data model in SD.
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP's customizing toolset, including IMG.
- Able to work independently as well as a team player required.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms required.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.
- (Implementation Management Guide) required.
Optional:
- Experience of SAP – GTM (Global Trade Management), BW (Business Warehouse) and LE (Logistics Execution), MDM (Master Data Management), GDS (Global Data Synchronization) is preferred.
- Experience in Billing, Pricing and Distribution areas are strongly preferred.
- EDI and interface knowledge (iDOCS) preferred.
- Experience with at least 2 full life cycle SAP SD implementations preferred.
