This position is responsible for formulating and defining complex information systems and solutions through technical analysis, technical design and programming and testing, combined with a comprehensive understanding of business systems and technical best practices. Incumbent serves as a pro-active business partner and is a part of a global team to enable business processes through technology in an integrated enterprise systems environment.
Key Role and Primary Responsibilities:
Global Business Support:
- First level contact for the business analysts / thread team members for any inquiries re: application or technical support and potential technical solutions.
- Provide ongoing responsibility for system failure prevention, system problem calls and user inquiries. This includes regular system maintenance and support which will require some evenings, weekend and on-call support.
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes to ensure global consistency.
Project Work:
- Analyzes business requirements and functional / technical specifications to determine effective technical solutions to support the business.
- Responsible for detailed technical design and specifications, coding, testing & implementing technical tools or systems. Provide post-implementation process and application support.
- Considers trade-offs between application performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, manageability and business requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Completes tasks to meet project deadlines and support Service Level Agreement's.
- May function as Technical Team Lead for a phase of a project.
- Provide mentoring / coaching to new members of the team as required.
- Participate and facilitate team meetings as required.
- Requirement analysis, Effort estimation, Design, Development of the accepted solution and test cases creation.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
- AA degree required, with specialization in functional area or IT. At least four or years of overall IT application support and project experience may be considered in lieu of AA degree.
- A minimum of three years previous experience in SAP ECC 6.0
- Minimum one full lifecycle implementation of SAP ECC in several functional areas. don't know that this is required anymore
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with other SAP modules (GTS,SCM, BW/BI, EWM, WM)
- Familiarity with Project Management (PMP) processes.
- Multicultural project experience and the ability to work in global business teams and multinational company.
- English written & spoken language will be the choice business language.
- Additional foreign language would be advantageous; French, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese.
Skills:
- Creating, changing and troubleshooting ABAP Programs/Reports notably ALV list, ALV grid, Object oriented objects, Dialog (dynpro) Programming and modularization.
- Creating and changing Smart Forms / Adobe Forms and SAP Scripts such Invoice and Order Acknowledgement forms involving creation of form layout, embedding logo, numerical calculations and conditional outputs. Creating Foreign Trade Documents using Adobe Forms.
- Creating Objects using SAP WebDynpro.
- Creating Data management program using Business Application programming Interface (BAPI).
- SAP Support Pack Upgrade adjustments (SPDD & SPAU) to support to SAP Basis Team during SAP Support Pack Enhancement.
