Applications are invited for post of Director at School of Management from senior industry practitioners who have an MBA degree or equivalent from premier institutes like IIMs/XLRI/MDI/JBMS/NITIE/FMS. Academic experience is desirable but not essential. Job Summary: Director of School of Management is responsible for overseeing a range of programs and services focused on promoting and enhancing the experience of students within the department. Specifically, Director of School of Management engages in following activities:

1. Building relationships with students and prospective students. Director shall lead the implementation of existing programs as well as developing new initiatives to enhance the experience of students in the department.

2. Director shall work with faculty members on the department's educational programs, including student academic issues. Director shall be supported by Dean of the School in academic matters.

3. Director shall connect with industry professionals regarding various programs like consultancy projects, Management Development Programs and students engagement in corporate. The candidate must have corporate networks to accomplish these objectives.

4. Serve as a key participant in the admissions process including recruitment of high potential candidates, reviewing applications and providing input on financial aid decisions

5. Provide academic leadership and select, train, develop, manage, and lead faculty and staff team members according to the guidelines provided by the University

Directly Supervises: Faculty and administrative staff of the School

Reports To: Vice Chancellor, KIIT University and Board of Directors, KIIT University

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Knowledge:

- MBA or equivalent degree from IMs/XLRI/MDI/JBMS/NITIE/FMS

- Candidates with Bachelor's degree from IIT, NIT or institutes of similar repute shall be given preference

- Age of the candidate should be around 50 years and the candidate should have held positions of increasingly responsible experience in the industry

- Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills

- Strong coaching skills

- Skill in hiring, orienting, training, organizing workflow, delegating, monitoring and evaluating performance, coaching, counseling and disciplining as necessary
