Key Account Manager - Modern Trade


Key Responsibilities :


Business Growth and Market Expansion :


- Drive the growth of Indus Fresh business in the channel by increasing volume, value, and profitability.

- Expand market reach by enhancing the depth and width of distribution.

Supply Chain Infrastructure :

- Assist in the development and optimization of a robust supply chain infrastructure.

Joint Business Planning :

- Build performance-based joint business plans for each key account.

- Set SKU-wise, store-wise, and market-wise goals based on targeted F&V category share.

Channel Strategy Development :

- Develop and execute channel strategies focusing on effective utilisation of A&SP spends, store mapping, right product assortment, and sales force deployment.

Sales Analytics and Service Levels :

- Utilise advanced sales analytics to ensure optimal service levels across banners and stores.

- Maintain a strong focus on achieving higher fill-rates, higher inventory turnover, reducing stock-outs, and minimising dumps/wastage.

Business Relationship Management :

- Establish, maintain, and develop effective business relationships with key accounts.

Sales Force Management :

- Manage, lead, and develop a motivated sales force, including both on-roll and off-roll personnel if applicable.

- Ensure the sales team is co-operative and driven towards achieving sales targets.

Sales Tracking and Inventory Management :

- Periodically track secondary and tertiary sales, providing guidance to the team to accelerate shelf off-takes.

- Implement quick interventions to manage aging inventory.

Cross-functional Coordination :

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and supply chain, to ensure smooth execution of strategies.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- Proven 5 years experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG/F&V industry.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite
