Key Responsibilities
Current CMB business is highly skewed towards bar soap, significantly neglecting other Personal Care categories mainly
1. Cosmetics (Face care, skin care, make-up)
2. Liquid products (shampoo, shower gel, and liquid hand soap)
3. Talcum Powder
The new role is of Business Development Manager (BDM), is fully responsible to bring in new clients / business for the above mentioned 3 categories
KPI's:
1. Map Sales Strategy / Sales plan and approach to achieve the above defined objective
2. Identify and develop NEW potential prospect clients for the above priority categories
3. Map customer portfolio after fully understanding our capabilites / capacities
4. Leverage existing customers for new products from drawing board to commercial production. ( product development to stability to commercilization)
5. Identify and establish connect with potential contact / key decision makers in respective customers
6. Propose and align on commercials / financials for new business ( conversion, finanace, storage charges etc). Liaise for optimum Costing ( RM/PM)
7. Achieve targeted CMB sales volumes and value from accounts on monthly and year-on-year basis.
8. Constantly review and negotiation of pricing with targeted accounts to maximize product realization.
9. Ensure collection of payments and statutory documents from targeted accounts by due dates.
10. Resolve all customer queries on product quality / technical specifications, production, supplies and pricing.
11. Yearly review to achieve targeted Customer Satisfaction Index.
12. Submit MIS reports by due dates.
13. Constant follow up with Supply chain and production team in order to ensure the product meets client specifications and delivery schedule.
14. Cost sheet finalisation.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
1) Strong conceptual understanding of sales, marketing, business development, key account management and CRM concepts, trends, and best practices
2) Strong problem solving skills.
3) Technical knowledge on Contract Manufacturing buisness and personal care products.
4) Knowledge on a) Production methods / equipment of personal care products and b) Vegetable Oils.
5) Updated knowledge on FMCG sector in general, customer requirements, tastes and preferences.
6) Basic knowledge of taxes, duties, cesses etc. pertaining to personal care products.
7) Strong negotiations and relationship management skills.
8) Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9) Deep data analysis, planning and forecasting skills
10) Advanced PC usage skills.
This will be an Individual Contributor role, no team handling to start with.
