KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and nurture strong client relationships within the modern trade sector.
- Strategically boost sales and market share through effective planning and execution.
- Optimize product placement and visibility in modern trade stores to maximize sales.
- Maintain stock levels, monitor inventory, and ensure product availability.
- Plan and execute promotions and campaigns to enhance customer engagement.
- Negotiate client contracts and terms for mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage budgets for modern trade activities and promotional expenses.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with various departments to achieve common objectives.
- Address customer complaints and ensure product quality and safety.
- Assist in planning and executing new store openings in the modern trade channel.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor competitor activities.
- Maintain merchandising compliance with company guidelines.
REQUIREMENT:
- PG / MBA in Sales & marketing preferred with 7+ yrs of experience in Modern Trade in FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of Modern Trade and retail business is necessary.
- The incumbent should have led a team, be strong on execution and acquired a well-developed ability in influencing senior business leaders.
- Deep Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to navigate cross-functional teams.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Capable of managing indirect teams.
- Proactive planning and priority setting skills.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity & demonstrates high energy, drive & perseverance.
