Kawa Space - Product Manager

Kawa builds & operates critical infrastructure for space - making them available through a single point of integration.

ROLE

Kawa Space is looking for a product manager to help execute and rapidly scale one of the key offerings from the company - Essex Cloud. Leveraging Kawa's critical infrastructure in space and some of the key enabling technologies, Essex Cloud will help users deploy space missions without the need for owned assets in space. We're looking for someone who can collaborate across teams and our customers to execute on the product strategy and work closely with customers to both derive and implement learnings from key insights into the product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collaborate across teams to drive execution on the product strategy.

- Work with both the software and space systems engineering teams identify and help with roadblocks across teams and ensure that the projects are well scoped, documented, clearly communicated and delivered on time.

- Conduct user and market research to help inform the overall vision and product strategy across teams.

- Communicate and manage dependencies across teams to hit product milestones.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

- You have at least SIX (6) YEARS of experience building and scaling products both in the consumer and enterprise software space.

- Out of your overall work experience, you have at least 2-3 years of expertise working in UX design / research, software engineering or data science.

- You have been an individual contributor in projects where you have demonstrable experience managing ideas, launching them and scaling it.

- You have a key interest in technology and have either a deep interest or experience working with computer vision and large sets of data.

- You're highly analytical and can create and work within frameworks that scale well. Ability to write code is a nice to have.

- You're a strong communicator and can perform well under difficult or stressful situations without being bitter. A key part of this role is managing and maintaining expectations across teams to ensure the product ships on time and a roadmap is followed.

- You're able to juggle multiple projects together and work well with complexity.

- Demonstrable experience working with large data sets and/or teams working in that domain.

- You have a deep sense of intellectual curiosity. Hobbies/projects that you've worked on and built that showcase unique ways to solve a problem.
