Karvy Solar is a new age Solar power company aiming to provide one stop solution under one roof. We are setting up a 20 MW solar power project at Sadashivpet, Telangana and are taking steps to be a serious player in the Industry. The company has plans to develop three verticals Build & Operate, EPC and Consulting. Over the next few years, Karvy Solar aims to be a serious player in the Construction, consulting and Operations & management of Solar Power projects
Purpose of role:
- To manage finance function, designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of business plans, financial projections and forecasting.
- Liaising and negotiating with the banks & financial institutions for availing Term Loans and Working Capital Loans. Preparing Project reports & appraisals, etc for getting credit facilities.
- Timely payment of principal and interest to avoid penal interest. Periodical review of credit terms to improve liquidity and reduce interest
- Designing and implementing systems & procedures; maintenance and supervision of accounting function.
- Preparation of financial statements in compliance with the prescribed accounting Standards and other statutory requirements.
- Maintenance of Statutory books of accounts and ensure closure and audit
- Establishing strategic cost management systems / techniques for monitoring various overheads and achieving maximum cost control in operations.
- Tax planning and timely payments of taxes and duties. Perfect documentation in respect of all tax claims to avoid disallowances. Frequent reviews of tax administration processes in I-T, S T & Service Tax
- Periodical review of accounting practices, policies and internal control systems and regular review of important accounting transactions and rectification of errors
- Close monitoring of compliances with various statutory provisions & regulatory requirements
- Planning and coordination for timely closing of Accounts and Audit thereafter
- Periodic review of implementation of Accounting Standards, review of internal, statutory, concurrent, cost, stock Audit reports for rectification
- Preparation of monthly financial reports of the following month for review by Directors / Board
- Review of Treasury, Accounting, Costing etc. procedures to develop and implement manuals and SOPs
- Preparation of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management/ Board of directors on financial performance, viz. operating results, fund management debtors and inventory management and ensuring that all income/expenses are accounted month-on-month for effective comparison of results.
Qualification, Experience & Desired Skills
- Charted Accountant with minimum of 4-6 years, post qualification experience in Power and Infra companies.
- Should have good knowledge of Accounting and taxation
- Should have strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Should possess good communications skills both oral and written
- Should have ability to work well under pressure.
