Summary :

Position Summary :

The vice president of sales and business development reports to the CEO and is a member of the company's executive team. He/she is responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, and distribution and channel strategy. This position includes responsibility for business development.

The VP Sales will drive the company's achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals.

- Sales growth

- Profit

- Adopting new channels to increase sales.

- New market penetration

Responsibilities :

- Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals

- Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth

- Hire and developing region and sector based teams.

- Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets

- Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential, knowledge of the product and support company sales objectives

- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required. And ensure the quality of the sales made is as per the offering and policy of the company

- Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function

- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting

- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions

- Work closely with the marketing function to establish the number and type of prospective sales leads generated from digital and offline marketing initiatives.

- Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management

- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities

- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships if required.

Qualifications :

- At least 7 years sales experience in comparable industries, with 4 years in a senior management position.

- Interested, rather excited to work with a startup and become an important catalyst for the growth of the company

- Should be growth hacker.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- Independent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills

- Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process and sales funnel management.

- Should understand how digital marketing works, as it is the most important channel for lead generation for the company.

- Work with operations and marketing team to design and manage marketing campaigns including email, online, interactive media and other tactics

- Demonstrate deep understanding of Indian the retail space

- Great understanding of the region and sector specific client base of India in the SME and large enterprise segment.

- Experience of dealing with Indian SME shall be highly appreciated.

- Good analytical and excel skills.
