The Role: Buy-side Investment Analyst

We're seeking a passionate and intellectually curious individual to join our team as a Buy-side Investment Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to dive deep into the world of investments and contribute to our portfolio's success. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about investing and has a deep intellectual curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

- In-depth Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analysis of new sectors, companies, and investment opportunities.

- Portfolio Management: Actively monitor existing holdings, perform regular reviews, and propose strategic adjustments based on market dynamics and company developments.

- Investment Strategy: Develop sector expertise and provide well-researched investment recommendations to enhance portfolio returns and mitigate risks.

- Investment Memoranda: Craft concise, compelling investment memos that articulate analysis of the security

- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, policy changes, and market movements to identify emerging opportunities.

- Big Data Insights: Leverage big data analytics to explore ideas, economic variables, industry dynamics, and market sizing, laying a solid foundation for innovative idea generation.

Qualifications and Skills Preferred

i. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

ii. CFA designation or active progression toward CFA certification

iii. 2-4 years of investment research experience in any asset class (sell-side or buy-side), or relevant experience in asset management or consulting

iv. A strong work ethic and focus on quality

v. Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel

vi. Outstanding communication skills and meticulous attention to detail

vii. Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.
