Job Purpose:
The Demand Planning Consultant will develop and optimize demand forecasting and inventory management strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the pharmaceutical supply chain. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, tools, and processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Duration : 6 Months
Demand Forecasting:
- Develop accurate demand forecasts using data analysis, market trends, and product lifecycle information.
- Adjust forecasts based on real-time market and sales input, ensuring continuous accuracy.
Inventory Optimization:
- Recommend strategies to optimize inventory levels, balancing service levels and minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
- Implement effective inventory management for new product launches and promotions.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze and refine existing demand planning processes, proposing improvements to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Implement demand planning tools and train internal teams on best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) to align demand forecasts with overall business strategy.
- Facilitate regular S&OP meetings to ensure smooth integration between demand and supply planning.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory health, and performance metrics.
- Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. APICS certification is an advantage.
- Experience: 5+ years in demand planning or supply chain consulting, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency with demand planning software (e.g., SAP, JDA), and excellent communication abilities.
