- Undertaking detailed technical study of materials to be procured

- Negotiating price to get the most economical rates

- Vendor development & vendor evaluation

- Process improvement in the procurement cycle

- Effective usage of sap and on-time reporting from the system

- Tracking of various process metrics

- Ensuring timely delivery of materials at sites

- Being an effective leader to the team and an able second line to the head-procurement.
