Key Responsibilities:
Identify Impact-First Originators:
- Scout and forge partnerships with impact-driven originators, including Banks, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), fintech lenders, and Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs).
- Conduct preliminary assessments to ensure alignment with Kaleidofin's mission and standards.
Debt Capital Markets:
- Centralized Bond Issuances: Spearhead the strategic execution of bond issuances, leveraging market insights to optimize transaction outcomes.
- Market Leadership: Cultivate expertise in centralized bond markets and innovative financing techniques, setting new standards in debt capital solutions.
- Structured Finance Expertise: Lead the development of cutting-edge financial models, supporting the design of bespoke structured finance transactions.
- Entrepreneurial Approach: Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by identifying new business opportunities, driving innovative financing solutions, and contributing to the growth and success of the debt capital markets team.
Assessment and Pre-Qualification:
- Assist in conducting due diligence and preliminary screening processes for potential partners.
- Support in gathering and analyzing data to assess the creditworthiness and impact potential of originators.
Align with Ki Credit Platform:
- Work closely with senior managers to integrate selected originators into the Ki Credit debt capital markets platform.
- Provide support in demonstrating the platform's capabilities to potential clients.
Customer Segment Understanding:
- Develop a thorough understanding of existing products and solutions in the market for the target segment.
- Assist in analyzing the needs and dynamics of customer segments served by our partner originators.
Onboarding and Relationship Management:
- Support the onboarding process for new originators, ensuring a smooth transition and integration.
- Assist in managing relationships with originators, helping to address any issues and maintain strong partnerships.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with various stakeholders, including investors and market infrastructure players, to gather feedback and refine transaction structures.
- Support senior managers in aligning with market demands and investor expectations. Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist in navigating regulatory frameworks and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Support the preparation of documentation and reports needed for regulatory purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is highly desirable)
- 5 to 10 years of experience in loan origination, structured finance, or financial services, ideally within a fintech or microfinance context.
- Strong analytical skills with a basic understanding of credit assessment, risk management, and financial analysis.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities, capable of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing independent initiative with collaborative teamwork.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to financial transactions is an advantage.
- Local and international travel is required for this role and prospective candidates must be open to travel on the job at least 25% of the time.
