Head - Design (IT) - Edtech Company (Leading K12 Education Player in the market)

Role Brief:

As a Head - Design (IT) at K12 Techno Services, you will be strategic partner of the leadership team, working closely with Engineering and Product to define the design strategy and roadmap for the world's best Educational ERP, and other tech based products and services that integrate with it. You will work with the central teams, school heads, parents and students to understand their different needs, and design innovative features to meet their requirements through a process driven approach. You will bring together cross-functional teams, and use strong technical, analytical and leadership skills to drive them.

This position will report into the Business Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- This person should have great experience of designing websites / software products for consumer facing websites (not B2B)

- Develop first hand intuition about the platform, the users and the business

- Be a strategic partner of the leadership team, working closely with Engineering and Product to define the design strategy and roadmap.

- Have a deep understanding of product metrics and translate to design goals

- Lead the overall design vision that enhances our product experience.

- Build and lead a talented and high-performing team of designers with a passion for developing others, you'll coach and encourage your team towards success and cohesion.

Criteria

- Have 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience.

- 4-5 years of experience in designing consumer facing websites / mobile apps is required

- Partner with product, engineering, business and brand teams to deliver experiences that delight our customers and drive business results.

- Manage, hire and grow the team of designers.

- Experienced and well versed in conducting different methods of research and usability testing

- Good knowledge and understanding of design principles, interaction design standards and UI patterns for web and mobile

- In depth understanding of the elements of a design system and capacity to create one

- Great aptitude for solving complex business problems
