Business Intelligence Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Primarily working with SQL based databases to extract, analyze and turn raw data into meaningful business insights to be shared with the regional management team.

- The analytical conclusions that are produced by Business Intelligence Analysts allow our Just Energy Leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions that improve the quality our customer experience and growth of the company.

- Create ad-hoc reports and provide detailed analysis for key Business functions (using MS SQL, MS Excel) within required timeframes; analyze and validate data to provide assurance of accuracy and validity of critical business information

- Actively engage with internal /external teams to streamline and standardize existing reports by identifying and developing opportunities to increase efficiencies

- Analyze, improve, and add to existing dashboards by reengineering existing MS SQL queries

- Provide quantitative analysis, reporting, and trending for key strategic initiatives; provide data sets and metrics to add context and measure potential impact for new Projects

- Key point of contact to analyze data correlations / discrepancies / reconciliations and related impact to Business

- Evaluate new projects and business challenges and design practical, attainable solutions

- Track and document post implementation benefits and key objective measurement

- Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems and offer creative suggestions for alternative designs and methods

Skillset:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure

- Extensive familiarity with common business issues and comfort with numerical and financial analysis

- Expertise in project management and standard software development lifecycle practices

- Strong Analytical Skills

- Strong excel and SQL skills

- Good Knowledge of SSRS and Power BI
