We are the world's first E-Distributor and was founded in 2015. In just 10 months we have grown to 350 employees spread across the nation. Ours is a cutting-edge mobile application though which Brands can distribute products including FMCG, packaged food, water & beverages, lighting & electricals, mobiles & mobile accessories, consumer durables, cosmetics, watches, auto accessories & auto parts, sports goods, apparel, toys & games, software, religious articles, industrial supplies and much more to retailers directly. We have over 1200 brands and 30,000 retailers on-board the app. The application replicates the real world distribution functions' and enables communications, credit and order fulfilment on the app itself.
We are looking to get on-board an experienced Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to be based out of Mumbai (Thane)
The CSO is responsible to lead and manage the sales business, build customer loyalty, and support and promote the company's strategy and initiatives by building and managing high performance teams, developing and executing strategic sales plans based on company goals and developing internal and external relationships and promoting the company's core values.
Key responsibilities include :
- Develop and direct the development and implementation of sales and commercial goals, policies and procedures which support corporate objectives, plans and policies.
- Hire, retain, develop, and motivate, top-tier sales talent.
- Develop and drive the sales across categories pan India.
- Increase sales across existing and on board new customers, identify market potential for new customers, assure adequate market coverage and deliver maximum performance from the sales organization.
- Implement the key accounts - category & geography wise and develop commensurate tracking and performance measurement systems to support aggressive growth of this customer segment.
Requirements :
- The CSO will be an outstanding sales executive with at least 15 years of broadly based progressive experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading sales organizations in successfully achieving sales targets.
- The ideal candidate for this role will have responsibility for the design of strategic sales plans via competitive analysis, customer segmentation and penetration plans, as well as thoughtful product positioning.
- Ideal candidate will have experience managing a Pan India team of senior sales professional with significant revenue responsibility.
- The right individual will have high clock speed and willingness to lead from the front.
- Measure and manage the pipeline and hold people accountable for performance.
- Strong communication skills, including establishing creditability and trust with customers and building influential relationships with critical business partners.
- Maintain and share knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies.
- Demonstrated track record leading sales in a high-growth environment preferably FMCG & Mobiles or both.
- Successful track record of building sales proficiency and leading transformation of a growing sales organization.
- The successful candidate will possess a set of personal characteristics to include: direct and open communication style, strong team player, intellectual curiosity, strategic thinker yet with strong attention to detail, strong mentoring/leadership skills, builder of high accountability culture, a propensity for rapid decision making and tactical implementation, a strong work ethic and a healthy hunger to win.
