Jupiter - Project Head

Position Summary:

The Person will lead the development and execution of our project at Baddi, HP from inception to completion.

This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in local govt liaisoning and approval, negotiation, project site management, vendor management, and a strong background in civil or mechanical engineering.

The ideal candidate will be adept at managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Project Planning and Execution:

- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the project.

- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Land Liaisoning:

- Manage land acquisition processes, including negotiations with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met for land procurement.

- Coordinate with legal teams to handle documentation and approvals.

Site Management:

- Oversee the preparation and readiness of the project site.

- Ensure effective site management, including logistics, infrastructure setup, and on-site coordination.

- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and contractors for various project components.

- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of work.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and manage any disputes or issues that arise.

Stakeholder Management:

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, government authorities, and community representatives.

- Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Budget and Cost Management:

- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

- Monitor and control project expenditures to prevent cost overruns.

- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts.

Quality and Safety:

- Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes.

- Ensure all project activities comply with health and safety regulations.

- Conduct regular site inspections and audits.

Engineering Oversight:

Provide technical leadership in civil or mechanical engineering aspects of the project.

Ensure all engineering activities align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

A Masters degree or MBA is a plus.

- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in project management, with a focus on greenfield projects.

- Proven experience in land liaisoning, vendor management, and contract negotiations.

- Strong knowledge of construction practices, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Preferred Skills:

- PMP or equivalent project management certification.

- Experience in working with government agencies and local authorities.

- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
